My Dress...Casablanca 1914I was on a bit of a hunt for the perfect dress. I am short, 5'2 and I felt very overwhelmed with the whole dressing shopping experience due to my height. Most of the dresses, while pretty on, just seemed to wear me...I didn't wear the dress. I never dreamed it would be this difficult to find a dress and I was starting to get really upset thinking I would have to settle on something that was just 'ehhh'.

I looked through pages and pages of dress magazines and went to 4-5 different salons before I tried this dress on. When I put it on I felt amazing and had visions of myself walking down the aisle to my husband-to-be.

I ended up customizing the dress a tad, I changed the zipper back to a corset so it will suck me in in all the right places! I can't wait for my first fitting in September!

Veil

I purchased my veil from an Etsy seller who was amazing to work with. I ordered the veil below, except I chose a raw cut edge to give it a softer feel and also in knee length. When I received it in the mail I danced around the house and looked in every mirror to catch every angle of the veil but there was just something missing. The seller agreed to add a little more 'pouf' to the veil and switch out the combs so it would lay differently on the top of my head. Now, I couldn't be happier with the way it looks! I LOVE it!

Flowers

I have chosen to go with a soft bouquet of roses in shades of cream, white, and peach, with touches of pearls throughout. I will also attach a brooch and wrap ivory lace around the stem.
